We have a new "loo" and I am sooo excited! "Loo" being a British term for toilet. If any of you have ever visited our apartment you would know that our former 'pot' caused us many problems over the past 8 months. Let me name a few: 1. The most frustrating problem was that it took the toilet 12 minutes to refill and stop running (Yes, we timed it - and yes, this caused problems during Sophie's shower). 2. Because it was an "energy-saving" toilet, it had very poor water pressure which led to much clogging. 3. The toilet would so kindly let us know that it had stopped running by whistling as loud as a train and then shaking the entire apartment. Don't ask me how on earth it made those noises, but it did. The first time it shook I backed out of the bathroom thinking the pipes were going to explode.

So now we have a new toilet thanks to our handy man Jack who fixes all of our problems and has even come to our rescue at ungodly hours on a Sunday morning when the apartment was flooding (because of another terrible toilet upstairs). Needless to say, we are excited about our new appliance! Oh the simple joys of life :)
